Heroes that replace a fallen member will have the same quirks from when they generated at The Crossroads. In the event that a player loses one or more heroes, but reaches an Inn, a randomly selected hero will join the party as a replacement. At first, only four Hero classes are available to choose from, but as the player progresses through the game, they will earn Candles of Hope which will in-turn let them unlock additional Heroes from the Altar of Hope. The player's party is limited to four Heroes. The Bounty Hunter is also an available hero, but is only hirable via The Inn for one Region, at the cost of Candles of Hope.Īt the beginning of each run, the player chooses four of their unlocked heroes to begin the run with at The Crossroads.
